Councilman Steve Berryhill and Councilman Dave McCollum are working hard to freeze unnecessary spending and reduce expenses.

Councilman McCollum, after requesting updates from the Mayor on his Project Garnet and being denied information, performed his own research on the costs and alleged benefits concerning this impactful project.  The result of his research revealed that spending is out of control.  A project that the Mayor and his administration (which includes Council President) sold to residents to cost $1.3 million has nearly doubled to $2.3 million...and the project is not complete.  Also revealed are environmental issues surrounding the current Public Works site; the site that the Mayor alleges will bring surplus cash and sizeable ratables to our community.

Click here to read the Retrospect article published Friday, March 5, 2010, that only begins to shed light into the dark shadows of how the Mayor and his administration are failing to control spending at your expense.

You have questions or concerns about this crises or other issues?  Contact Dave McCollum or Steve Berryhill (click on name for email link).

Did you know?

A Haddon Heights' Opinion Survey was developed by the Mayor and mailed to all 2,748 property owners in the Borough of Haddon Heights in November of 2008.  Open Public Records Act requests have revealed the original responses to the survey from property owners have since been destroyed.

Why?  Is it convenient to the Mayor and his administration?

Who performed the work of the survey?  Integrity Consulting Group.  The same company that was listed as a client of the Mayor's personnal business.  Is this another ethical concern?
